Animation speculation on a lithic response to an unacceptable human change to their environment- of rocks rocks coming together and rising up in a response.

If rocks could move, rise up and resist.
From the perspective of rocks in the Atacama Desert, moving in response to the progressive water loss in natural salt water lagoons (due to lithium groundwater mining)

New video work emerging from research as an offshoot  from WITH SALT AND ROCKS IN OUR VEINS; a new media work that considers the complexities of contested groundwater in the Atacama desert, as it is extracted for lithium salts to enable the green energy transition. That new media work was exhibited at IMAL Brussels, 2024, for the EUJRC project, Naturarchy:Towards a Natural Contract. 

Of collapsing the distance between Global North centers of power, of
energy policies and economic drivers, and over-the-horizon peripheries
such as the Atacama.
